MEET THE MAKER

A Girl with her Silver & Stones

Metalsmith
Est. 2016

Hey! I’m Kendall, the girl behind The Wild Path, a one-women-business handcrafting small batch, slow craft jewellery.

Based from a little studio in Rural Norfolk, England I work silver & stone into rustic made pieces. I live in a small village with my partner Lance and our pup Penny, you’ll mostly find us on countryside walks, hiking the hills, adventuring in the woodland or at beach swimming with seals in the freezing North sea & warming up by the campfire.

Being in wild places with my dog by my side or horseback are my greatest passions, nothing makes me happier then seeing landscapes through a horses ears or keeping up with my hunting dog. When I can't do that I'm more than content in my workshop; turning a passion to inspiration to sketch book to metal. I'm a collector of things found amongst the dirt, a feather, an antler shed, a fallen leaf that catches my eye or a piece of drift wood and all these things aid my work one way or the other.

My love for the outdoors feeds my craft and all of my work is inspired by nature. Designs deeply rooted in the Countryside around me, Norfolk’s windswept coastline, trips to raw & rugged Moutainscapes… travels near & far.

Each piece is crafted with intention, using simple tools & techniques generations old, first learnt from a basic Silversmith class where I was taught by a third generation goldsmith. Followed by knowledge & skill that has grown through passion, grit + trial & error. I work with recycled sterling silver & Gold and meticulously sourced unique gemstones, with fierce fondness for turquoise.

I endeavour to support independent, family owned lapidary businesses that strive for quality and beautifully cut stones. Made for the true collector, stick around and you might grab yourself a a real lost treasure.

Bring one-of-a-kind artisan jewellery into existence, each piece showing signs of the hands that forged them to be worn by those with the wild in their soul.

"I have a very fond memory as a girl, one that takes me back to my Grandads workshop and polishing stones found on our coastline in his tumbler. I think that's where it started. "

I hope you enjoy the Jewellery I create, metal worked into small pieces that pay tribute to our Natural World.

Thanks for stopping by,

Kendall
